2025 Compass Collective Program Details
The Compass Collective Scholarship program offers a series of mountaineering & adventure stipends to help break down the barriers to entry to the big mountain realm for those individuals whose experience transcends the gender binary. Mountaineering and backcountry adventures can be a transformative experience for all who partake, yet there are many barriers of entry preventing the participation of members of marginalized genders.
That's why the Alliance for Gender Equity in Outdoor Adventure (GEA Alliance) has created The Compass Collective Scholarship Program: for all of us to dream big together. Let’s go climbing!

All those are welcome to apply whose gender identity transcends the traditional gender binary. You have to be 18 or older to apply, but there is no upper age limit for applicants. There is no residency or citizenship requirement to apply.
To be considered for The Compass Collective Scholarship, simply complete a few demographic questions and a couple of short essays during our application window.

Applications are accepted from December 15, 2023 to January 31, 2024
Scholarship recipients are announced in March 2024
Scholarship expeditions & adventures take place throughout the remainder of 2024 and early 2025
