Our goal is to advance gender equity on and off the mountain.
The Compass Collective is an initiative supported by the GEA Alliance. TCC’s mission is to increase gender equity in the outdoor, rooted in the belief that those who navigate challenges, beyond cis-heteronormative experiences, bring unique perspectives and resilience to the wilderness. They recognize that the very act of challenging societal norms fosters a spirit of exploration and adaptability.
The Compass Collective is offering scholarships for trans adventurers, including transfeminine, transmasculine, trans-nonbinary, gender-queer, non-binary, Two-Spirit, gender fluid, and beyond. These scholarships will take folks into the backcountry for an experience that is just as much about backcountry skills as it is about community connections.
Through the Compass Collective…
We provide funding for trans and nonbinary people to participate in extraordinary, inclusive, empowering backcountry and mountain expeditions led by affinity-space operating partners such as Indigo Alpine Guides and The Venture Out Project.
